Ordered a chicken, crispy bacon and mayo sandwich with coleslaw, large salad, and cooked in skin chips. Was excellent and was a generous portion. Couldn't fault it and would recommend this cafe.

Called there yesterday with my wife on our motorbikes, absolutely Lovely little place, tucked away from the main drag.....food was superb, the chips are awesome and a lovely coffee too. We both enjoyed our meals. Toilets were really clean too. Staff are really friendly and helpful , definitely going there again when we're over that way

The windlass cafe is a very friendly and welcoming cafe, all staff are friendly and polite. We sat outside with our dog and the lady came out with a dog biscuit for our dog. Very dog friendly. Great location near to the locks. Food and drink very nice.

THE perfect lunch. Absolutely lovely. Very generous portion of the tastiest beef and veg with horseradish mash. My husband had pulled ham on a brioche with chips. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouth full. Lovely staff. Yes there was a wait for food, but it was well worth the wait.

We visited today for the 1st Time and it certainly won't be the last. I had a B.L.T and it was amazing, great portion size for the money. All home made/cooked and tasted great! Can't wait to come back and try your breakfast menu. Service was second to none and quick waiting time with a hungry 5 year old too. Thank you!

Breakfast for two - one of whom is vegan. The chef came out and explained what could be included in the vegan breakfast, and the end result was superb, it is rare to get such personal service, meanwhile the regular full English was spot on; lovely staff, great location, roomy interior, spotlessly clean, I can't fault it. Well done, and thank you.

Tried to find somewhere for breakfast, and then found this gem hidden away. By the time we got here the breakfast was over, but they do an All Day Breakfast lunch we wanted to change a few things on the menu and they did this without any hesitation. food came and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely staff, lovely food and great scenery
